Thai Peanut Sauce
2Tsp lemon juice
1Tsp chop ginger
3 cloves garlic
¼ cup cilantro
1Tsp hot sauce
1.5c peanut butter
1c coconut milk
2 Tsp water
3 Tsp soy sauce
1 Tsp fish sauce
Mix well all ingredients
Or for veggie people:
-peanut butter (1/2 cup)
-hoisin sauce (2 tbsp)
-soy sauce (1tbsp)
-garlic (1 mashed clove)
-dark brown sugar (1 tbsp)
-sesame oil (1 tbsp)
-chile – garlic paste (1 tsp)
-lime juice (from 1 lime)
-rice vinegar (1 tbsp)
-ginger (1/2 tbsp)
-hot water
How to make peanut sauce:
All the ingredients, with the exception of the hot water, are put in a blender and mixed up together. While the sauce is still drizzling, the hot water can be poured in it – the hot water’s role is to make it thinner and so, it is up to each individual how much water is added. However, it is told that to obtain the best peanut sauce, it has to be “not too watery and not too thick”.
